Neston Handball Team win Fair Play trophy at Colerne Tournament!
A super well done to our Year 5 handball team who played in a series of nail biting matches against the other schools in our cluster and earned the fair play trophy for their super sportspersonship throughout the tournament!
Maple & Beech Class - Pound Arts Centre Trip - Wednesday 12th June
We are excited to let you know that we have been fortunate enough to book tickets for a magical and immersive experience at The Pound Arts Centre. The Day I Fell Into a Book uses sound recordings, lighting and projection to take the audience into a lost world of classic myths and legends. Using 3D sound and theatre, it will be a truly memorable and exciting storytelling adventure!

Maple Class - David Baddiel - Blue Sky Festival - Corsham - 14th June
We are excited to let you know that we have been fortunate enough to book tickets to see the fascinating and entertaining comedian, presenter and children’s writer, David Baddiel, at the Blue Sky Festival in Corsham on Friday 14th June. He will talk about, and read from, his latest adventure, ‘Head Kid’. There will also be the chance for the children to meet the author and have their David Baddiel books signed.

Braeside Residential Trip - Hazel Class
We have made a booking to take the children from Year 3 on a residential visit to Braeside Education Centre in Devizes from Wednesday 10th July – Friday 12th July 2019.
Braeside is ideally situated to contribute towards history and geography topics, as well as being equipped for outdoor activities with staff on hand to help. Our focus for the visit this year will be on local geography.

Chesnut "The Planets" performance - Tuesday 12th February
Chestnut class has been given the opportunity to perform The Planets by Gustav Holst, with an orchestra. This special event is a music project initiated by David Garcia who has written choral parts for this piece.
Neston is one of only four schools singing in this special event. The performance will be held at Corsham Secondary at 18.30 on Tuesday 12th February. The rehearsal will also be held on the 12th, prior to the concert, at 17.15 - 18.00. The children will need to be at Corsham Secondary by 17.00.

Melksham Oak Yr 5 "Working Together" evening
Melksham Oak Community School are holding their "Working Together" evening on Thursday 31st January 2019 from 6pm to 7.30pm.
The purpose of the evening is to give you an insight into how your child will learn at Melksham Oak, and to give your child the experience of a secondary school lesson.

Lego Robotics Challenge Day - Years 5 & 6
We are delighted to tell you that we have arranged an exciting and inspiring Robotics Challenge Day for our Year 5 and 6 children in Term 4. Classrooms will be transformed into ‘Robotic Labs’ for the day! Children will use Lego Mindstorms to build robots and program them to carry out a mission. This will also be a great opportunity for the children to work collaboratively with IT programming professionals and specialist equipment.
